مشكلة تعاطي المخدرات واحدة من أخطر المشكلات النفسية والاجتماعية التي تواجه العالم كله بمختلف مجتمعاته العربية والغربية وهناك كثير من الدلائل المتعددة التي تكشف عن مدى خطورة هذه المشكلة منها :
أنها لا تهدد مجتمع واحد فحسب وإنما تهدد كل المجتمعات سواء المتقدمة أو نامية .
تمثل المشكلة أضراراً مادية وصحية ونفسية بالغة .
تنتشر المشكلة في مختلف الطبقات الاجتماعية ومختلف الأعمار وإن كان أكثر في مرحلة المراهقة والشاب وهي المرحلة التي تعتمد عليها الدولة في إنتاج أبنائها .
تزايد أنواع المخدرات الطبيعية والصناعية المدمرة والقاتلة مثل الهيروين والكوكايين وحبوب المهدئة والمنشطة التي يستخدمها الشباب .
مشكلة التعاطي تسبب كثير من المشكلات الاجتماعية كالسرقة والقتل والاغتصاب والنزاع الأسري .
وإذا كانت المخدرات تمثل هذه الخطورة على الفرد والمجتمع على حد سواء فماهي العوامل التي تؤدي إلى الإدمان نذكر منها على سبيل المثال الأسباب الرئيسية وهي :
1- التعرض لثقافة المخدرات عن طريق السماع عن المخدرات والرؤية المباشرة للمخدرات ووجود أصدقاء يتعاطون المخدرات .
2- الظروف الاجتماعية المهيئة للتعاطي مثل أسلوب الشدة في المعاملة أو التدليل دون الحد وزيادة عدد أفراد الأسرة ووقوع الطلاق وحدوث الانحلال الأخلاقي داخل الأسرة .
3- خصائص وسمات شخصية المتعاطي مثل ارتفاع سمة العصبية والتوتر والقلق ، كما تتصف سمات شخصية المدمن بالخجل والشعور بالنقص وعدم التوافق النفسي والاجتماعي الجيد .
4- أهمية المخدر بالنسبة للمدمن ، خفض التوتر ، خفض مستوى الدفاعية ، الخروج عن الواقع والهروب من المشكلات النفسية والاجتماعية .
أنواع المخدرات من حيث أصل المادة التي أحضرت منها :
مخدرات طبيعية :
وهي إما أن تستخدم كما هي في حالتها الطبيعية أو تستخدم بعد تحويرها تحويرا بسيطا عن أصلها النباتي كالخشخاش والقات والقنب والكوكايين .
مخدرات تخليقية أو مصنعة :
وهي التي تصنع في المعامل أو المختبرات بالطرق الكيميائية ، وتؤثر على الأجهزة العصبية منها :
المنومات والمهدئات؛ التي تسبب الهدوء والسكينة والنعاس مثل البارابيتورات والماندواكس والديفونال.
المنشطات (الأمفيتامين) :
وتسمى بحبوب النشاط أو حبوب الحظ عند المدمن مثل البنزدرين والديكسدرين والميثدرين .
عقاقير الهلوسة :
وهي تخرج الفرد عن نطاقة العادي وتدخله في تيار من الخيال مثل الكوميثال والبركنول .
الوقاية من الإدمان :
الوقاية من الإدمان مسئولية مجتمع ككل تتضمن لمكافحة إنتاج مواد المخدرات وتقليل العرض ومقاومة الطلب وإصدار قوانين رادعة لمن يروج تلك المواد كما تتضمن الوقاية منه التنشئة الاجتماعية الصحيحة داخل الأسرة واستخدام أسلوب الاعتدال في المعاملة وإعطاء الثقة بالنفس والاعتماد على الذات .
التوعية بأضرار المخدرات وخاصة مع الفئات المستهدفة التي ينتشر فيها تعاطي المخدرات .
التدخل العلاجي المبكر بحيث يمكن الوقاية من التمادي في التعاطي والوصول إلى مرحلة الإدمان .
القضاء على البطالة وإتاحة فرص عمل للشباب حديثي التخرج .
تصحيح بعض الأخطاء الشائعة عن دور المخدرات في تخلص الفرد من مشاكله واستخدامها كوسيلة لتطبيب ذاته والهروب من المشكلة وحيث أن المخدرات لا يمكن أن تؤدي إلى حلول للمشكلة بل يقع الفرد فريسة لمشكلة أكبر فوق المشكلة الأساسية وهي الإدمان ، وكذلك تصحيح بعض المفاهيم الخاصة بفكرة الإدمان يقوى الناحية الجنسية بل إنه يعمل على خفض الرغبة ومشاكل أخرى عديدة في الجانب الجنسي ومن هذا المنطلق ندعوك أخي وصديقي ، ابني وابنتي أن تبتعدوا عن تلك الخطر المدمر والمارد الجبار الذي يقضي تمام على معنى الحياة ، لا تستخدم أسلوب التجريب أو مسايرة الأصدقاء أو من باب الرجولة لأن بداية الغيث تكون قطرة .
